Freezeheads
The designers work on the third shift to work up the day's styles. Marla Gershe refers to them as "freezeheads," presumably because the drugs they take to stay awake and at the top of their creative game induces them to dramatically withdraw into themselves. They respond slowly, if at all, to outside stimulus and in fact will stare at you motionlessly for ten minutes at a time if you interrupt them in the middle of a brainstorm. For all practical purposes they are "frozen."
